Around the Lough in 80K’s is a physical challenge created to celebrate the life of Chris Hoy, honouring the person he was, the courage he showed and the lasting impact he continues to have on those who knew and loved him.
On 8 May 2027, a group of Chris’s family and close friends will complete an 80km run around Lower Lough Erne. While only a small number will take on the full challenge, we hope the wider community will become part of the journey by supporting the event through donations, sponsorship, volunteering, cheering along sections of the route and helping us spread Chris’s story.
This event is about far more than running. It is an opportunity to celebrate Chris’s life with positivity, gratitude and purpose. It is our way of recognising the extraordinary healthcare professionals, charities and support services who cared for Chris and our family throughout his cancer journey. It is our chance to give something back so that other families facing similar challenges can receive the same compassion, expertise and support.
Every kilometre represents resilience. Every donation creates opportunity. Every act of kindness helps continue Chris’s legacy.
